Ann’s Cottage, which is a family-run business, already has 14 stores across the county. And now bosses have revealed that they intend to open a flagship store in the city centre in spring 2019.
The Ann’s Cottage story started on Polzeath beach back in 1978 when a small village shop attached to a petrol station began selling and renting out surfboards. Today, it is a recognised household name across the county and the business exports goods across Europe. The company recently celebrated its 40th anniversary.
Sharing the news of the new store, a spokesman said: “Ann’s Cottage refuses to grow old quietly with spring 2019 seeing the retailer move into the highstreet with a flagship city store opening its doors in Truro city centre.
“The new store is 34,000 square feet and promises to transport you to the surfing capital of the world; California. ‘Ann’s Cottage is more than a brand – it is a way of life, the Cornish way of life.’
