The fast-growing furniture retailer plans to open 20 new stores this year as it continues to grow its footprint.
The locations will include six stores in North Carolina, marking Bob’s entry into the Southeast. The North Carolina expansion will include Bob’s 200th store.
In addition, Bob’s 2025 expansion will include its first-ever store in Vermont, reinforcing the company’s ties to the Northeast, where it was founded in 1991.
“We’re excited to bring our on-trend assortment of furniture, mattresses and home accents at everyday low prices to new customers and markets,” said Ramesh Murthy, Executive VP of Operations at Bob’s Discount Furniture. “Adding new territories also allows us to make a local impact on more communities by generating jobs and providing support to local schools and non-profits, things that have been core to Bob’s since our founding over 30 years ago.”
As to the factors which drew Bob’s to the two new states, Murthy said that has built a loyal customer base throughout New England and opening a store in Vermont allows the company to strengthen its connection with a region that has supported its brand for years.
