Cartier Open New Store in Melbourne

Cartier has recently opened a new boutique at 90 Collins Street, revealing a space that feels as much a tribute to Melbourne as it does to Cartier’s Parisian roots. The boutique’s new design doesn’t just nod to art deco glamour — it reinterprets it with an Australian accent.

Think warm pink hues that echo a Melbourne sunrise, glass marquetry panels framed with native flora, and wood finishes sourced from Tasmania. Even Cartier’s iconic panther has found a new home here, woven quietly into the narrative like a whispered signature. Every corner feels intentional, every texture tells a story – of the city’s ever-shifting light, its gardens, its quiet grandeur.

Walking through the jewellery salon is like moving through a landscape: soft greens and golds bloom across the interiors, while delicate patina finishes evoke Melbourne’s famous Botanic Gardens. Upstairs, the newly unveiled first floor offers a more intimate space to discover Cartier’s high jewellery, bridal collections, and fine jewellery masterpieces — all under a quartz chandelier by Melbourne’s own Christopher Boots, whose design honours the region’s mineral history.

The new boutique also serves as a stunning backdrop for Cartier’s most iconic creations. From the bold spirit of Clash and the classic elegance of Love to the unmistakable form of Juste un Clou, the collections shine all the brighter against such a beautifully considered setting.
