Clarks to Unveil Cloudstoppers Concept in Malaysia

British footwear retailer Clarks will open its first dedicated Cloudsteppers concept stores in Malaysia as part of its global expansion plan.

The move comes as the brand is doubling down on its new comfort Cloudsteppers collection, with the fully expanded line-up to be introduced next year. The collection includes sneakers, sandals and laid-back boots.

Clarks is launching its three inaugural standalone concept stores this month, with the first opening yesterday in Shah Alam and the second set to debut in Kuala Lumpur later this week. A third is scheduled for the US. The retailer plans a minimum of 10 new locations across Southeast Asia and the US next year.

According to the company, this milestone “reflects its strong business momentum globally”. Throughout the year, Clarks has marked its expansion in both retail and digital sectors across international markets, which include several store openings and marketplace partnerships with Shein, Target, Walmart and a TikTok Shop.

Clarks also notes that the new stores will introduce additional lifestyle essentials, including t-shirts, hoodies, socks, caps and bags, following the collection’s upcoming evolution into lifestyle offerings and expansion beyond footwear, leaving room for athleisure favourites.

“With Southeast Asia’s warmer climate and love for comfort-led footwear and apparel, it’s a perfect match,” Raymond Chew, GM of Southeast Asia at Clarks, said in a statement, adding that the market is ripe for the launch of Cloudsteppers lifestyle location. “This store brings an entirely new look to the market – it’s modern, relaxed and truly lifestyle,” Chew added. Clarks describes the stores as “calm, welcoming spaces” where customers can explore its Cloudsteppers collection.
