Dragons’ Den Peter Jones eyes rescue plan for Jessops stores

Dragons’ Den TV star and businessman Peter Jones is mulling a rescue plan for the property arm of Jessops, having bought the collapsed camera chain six years ago. Mr Jones is poised to draft in administrators at Resolve, a restructuring firm, for JR Prop Limited, which manages Jessops’ leasehold property estate, including the majority of its 46 stores.

The move could lead to store closures in months ahead, putting 500 jobs at risk. If Resolve is appointed, Mr Jones, who has backed several companies across a range of sectors, will then try to push ahead with a company voluntary arrangement (CVA).
