This award highlights the retailer that our judges believe to be
a truly world-class operator across all facets of the business,
delivering exceptional growth, adaptation and transformation
of the brand to reflect evolving industry trends.

         Daiso Industries Co., Ltd.
Starting from 300 stores in 1996, the store count has
expanded to nearly 6,000 stores today, with the most
significant growth occurring after 2015. Some of their
major store openings recently have included the Shinjuku
East Exit store in Japan, the Paramatta store in Australia
and the Oswego Commons Store in the US. In addition,
their largest multi-brand store opened in Shinjuku, Tokyo,
offering a wide range of products in a spacious 1,666sq
m store. In the fiscal year 2024, the company recorded
the highest ever sales revenue, driven by increased
demand both domestically and internationally, as well as
strengthened product capabilities. In particular, the focus
on expanding their presence in global markets and tailoring
their product strategy to regional needs played a key role in
driving growth. Starting in 2024, Daiso Industries Co. Ltd.
began strengthening its global expansion and promoting
optimisation for overseas markets across the entire
company. The focus is on the product development that is
tailored to the cultures of each country and optimising the
supply chain, with the goal of enhancing competitiveness
and market adaptability. With this in mind, they are
currently constructing an automated warehouse, ‘Malaysia
New GDC,’ on Indah Island in Port Klang, Malaysia, which
will cover approximately 120,000sq m with operations
scheduled to begin in the spring of 2027. The warehouse
will feature the latest automated inbound and outbound
systems, serving as a logistics hub for approximately 600
stores across 22 countries in Southeast Asia and the
Middle East. This will drive store expansion and contribute
to the region. The company is currently working towards
         their 2030 vision.
