Capri-inspired Italian restaurant Lucia’s, first opened by 7 Management in Dubai in 2022, is expanding overseas once again, this time in Baghdad.
Through a franchise partnership with Estithmar Properties, the Iraq-based subsidiary of Qatari-listed company Estithmar Holding, 7 Management’s Dubai-born venue will soon open in the five-star Rixos Baghdad Hotel in Baghdad to continue its celebration of Italian culture.
Lucia’s Baghdad will be the establishment’s flagship culinary destination in the region. Its new home is located in the Green Zone, a 10sq km area in central Baghdad along the banks of the Tigris River.
Boasting a blend of luxury hospitality, dining, wellness and leisure facilities in a culturally-rich city, Rixos Baghdad is aiming to set new standards of urban resort experiences in Iraq, said Estithmar Ventures CEO Walid Shalan.
“Rixos Baghdad is redefining luxury in the heart of the capital, and world-class dining is at the core of that vision,” he says. “Our collaboration with 7 Management reflects our commitment to setting a new benchmark for gastronomy in Baghdad. Lucia’s is one of six exceptional culinary brands we’re introducing to the property, each carefully selected to deliver a unique and elevated dining experience.”
The restaurant is a solid match for the region as it continues to expand, especially as it breaks into a new market for the brand, founder and group CEO of 7 Management Rabih Fakhreddine explained.
“Lucia’s was born out of a desire to share the joy, flavour, and soul of Italy with the world. As we expand into new cities, we remain committed to preserving the essence of the brand while embracing the uniqueness of every market. We are proud to partner with Estithmar Properties to bring Lucia’s to Baghdad and share our vision with a dynamic and exciting new market.”
