The brand is set to open its first flagship in Southeast Asia this month, marking the luxury patisserie’s debut in the Philippines.
Located at BGC High Street in Manila, the flagship will be known as Ladurée Tropical; a concept developed specifically for the local market.
Ladurée entered the Philippines in 2015 with a flagship at 8 Rockwell, Makati, but closed the store in 2019 due to the global pandemic.
“We wanted this to feel like Ladurée was made for the Philippines, not just brought here,” said Karan Gopwani, CEO of Gastronova, the group leading Ladurée’s re-entry into the country, in an interview with Tatler Asia.
The destination will feature both a Ladurée Café for casual coffee experiences and a Salon de The offering full-service dining.
“Bringing in both the Ladurée Cafe and the Salon de The under one roof was a deliberate and bold decision, going beyond what has ever been done before,” Gopwani said.
