The offer of shopping center Galeria Słoneczna in Radom was enriched by a popular brand – MANGO. The store has a size encompassing 444 square meters and offers collections for women and children.
The design of the store is conversant with the standards of the Spanish brand, founded in 1984, and has today become one of the leading fashion groups in the world. The company has an extensive store network of 2,200 stores (over 800,000 square meters) in 109 countries. MANGO shops offer formal, evening and casual collections, jeans lines as well as a good choice of well-corresponding accessories.
Daniel Chudy, President of the Management Board of Renthoff Group and MANGO franchise holder, says that: “MANGO will be present in the biggest shopping center in the region that is proud of an average monthly footfall of nearly 650,000 visitors. We are happy that we could bring this popular Spanish brand to the place of such great potential, and we are convinced that the collections offered by MANGO will be successful also in the Radom region.”
Galeria Słoneczna is a two-level shopping center with nearly 170 retail units, which includes underground as well as above-ground parking. The total leasable area of the property is approximately 40,900 square meters and the largest tenants include international and Polish brands, such as Zara, Bershka, Stradivarius, Massimo Dutti, Reserved, Mohito, H&M, TK Maxx, Empik, the French supermarket Carrefour, the Multikino multiplex cinema and electronics and white goods chain EURO RTV AGD. Since September 2017, the shopping center has been owned by ČS nemovitostní fond, which was established by REICO in 2007 and it is now the largest and longest-operating real estate mutual fund on the Czech market. It is designed primarily for conservative investors, and it aims to achieve a long-term yield above the level of government bonds. Besides Galeria Słoneczna in Radom in Poland, the fund holds fifteen other assets in Poland, the Czech Republic and Slovakia. The most recent acquisition of the fund was the regional shopping center Forum Nova Karolina in Ostrava with over 220 stores.
Tomáš Jandík, Chief Investment Officer of REICO IS ČS, comments that: “Galeria Sloneczna is a centrally located and prominent shopping center with a catchment area of nearly 700,000 inhabitants, a growing footfall and turnover, which is why we decided in 2017 to make the acquisition. In the following years, we will continue our efforts to fortify its offer to the market by adding other top brands and introducing facilities and amenities for the customers, to ensure that visiting the shopping center is an exceptional shopping experience.”
New stores and restaurants have been joining Galeria Słoneczna. These include the popular cafe Costa Coffee, restaurants Van Dog and Silver Dragon, the women’s fashion store Cotton Club, all of which have been recently opened. The jeweler’s shop W.Kruk moved to a new location on the ground floor, which is twice as big as the one previously occupied. Also, the food court has been through a recent, major uplift. In 2018, Galeria Słoneczna had nearly 8 million visitors. In the first half of 2019, although the ban on Sunday retail trading in Poland became more restrictive, the footfall in the shopping center increased compared to the same period in 2018.
