The National Basketball Association and Lids have set up shop in America’s largest retail and entertainment centre.
The nearly 20,000sq ft NBA Store at the Mall of America in Bloomington, Minnesota offers a wide assortment of official NBA and WNBA team and league-branded merchandise and memorabilia, including jerseys, apparel, headwear, sporting goods, toys and collectibles from major brands such as Nike, Mitchell & Ness, New Era, Pro Standard, Wilson and Fanatics.
It also boasts a dedicated space that pays homage to the basketball culture in the Twin Cities, showcasing an extensive selection of Minnesota Timberwolves and Minnesota Lynx gear.
Other features include an interactive “Experience Zone” where fans can go one-on-one with their friends in a “Quick Hands” video game. Fans will also be able to benefit from on-site customisation services to personalise jerseys and hats, a signature feature that is also available at multiple Lids retail locations.
The Mall of American location marks the league’s third NBA store in the US, following the opening of the New York City and Houston stores in 2015 and 2023, respectively. As part of the league’s long-standing partnership with Lids and Fanatics, Lids will oversee the store’s operations.
