Multi-Realm, the specialist manager of retail and leisure destinations, has signed up Tommy Hilfiger at Ringsted Designer Outlet, kick starting a rebrand and investment programme at Denmark’s only open-air outlet mall.
Ringsted Designer Outlet, owned by PATRIZIA’s TransEuropean Fund VII and co-owned and managed by specialist retail asset manager Multi-Realm, has exchanged with PVH to add a 480sq m Tommy Hilfiger store to its already impressive line-up of brands. The imposing new store will incorporate three existing units in a prime location adjacent to Gant (who will be upsizing this year) and opposite long term anchor Nike.
The outlet destination has 48 units including international anchor brands Boss, Levi’s, Lacoste, Calvin Klein, Puma and adidas. First opened in 2008, it has established itself as a popular and accessible shopping location, courtesy of its proximity to junction 36 of the E20 motorway and frequent rail service into the capital. Over the last four years the outlet has steadily increased its reach into the affluent conurbations of Copenhagen, in addition to attracting visiting tourists.
The signing of Tommy Hilfiger launched the rebrand and unveiling of a programme of physical enhancements, taking Nordic design inspiration, to elevate the ambience and positioning of the scheme. Store frontages and facades are being modernised and adorned with window canopies, modern lighting and timber cladding that will transform the elevations and the iconic tower that sits in the heart of the scheme.
Along with the investment in repositioning the asset, the new name of Ringsted Designer Outlet (previously known simply as Ringsted Outlet) will be rolled out during the summer across the estate, with new wayfinding and an enhanced retail excellence programme, elevating service levels to deliver a truly first class and memorable experience for visitors. This will be complemented with a new online look, across website and social media channels, completing the transformation for consumers.
