The fast-growing pizza chain is set to transform a former bank in Cambridge city centre into a 200 cover pizzeria, creating 35 local jobs and is looking for people to join ‘La Famiglia’.
The new pizzeria will open in the heart of Cambridge at 6 St Andrew’s Street, transforming the former TSB building, which has stood vacant since April 2022. The spacious 2,100sq ft venue will span two floors, offering over 200 covers and brings new life to the Grade II listed building.
The new restaurant will deliver a fresh new dining option to Cambridge’s vibrant food and drink scene, offering its award-winning pizzas, delicious dips and classic Italian desserts. Whether dining with family or friends, guests can enjoy Rudy’s signature relaxed vibe while indulging in the brands iconic and exciting menu right on the high street.
Since launching in 2015 in Ancoats, Manchester, Rudy’s quickly gained a cult following for its authentic Neapolitan dough and quality ingredients and the new opening will mark the brand’s 35th opening across the UK.
Born out of passion for pizza, Rudy’s follows the authentic Neapolitan tradition of pizza-making, serving classic recipes such as Marinara, Margherita and Calabrese – all originating from Naples, the birthplace of pizza. Rudy’s also pays homage to famous pizzerias around the globe with its rotating specials, bringing interesting and exciting flavour combinations to its fans.
Commenting on the new Cambridge opening, Neal Bates, Managing Director of Rudy’s, said: “We’re very excited to announce that we will be bringing Rudy’s to Cambridge for the first time and can’t wait to share our love of Neapolitan pizza with the local community. Cambridge’s vibrant streets, historic charm and growing foodie scene make it an exciting place for us to set up and we’re looking forward to becoming a part of its unique dining culture later this year.”
