Sturegallerian AB and TAM Group, the master developers behind the 104,000sq m Sture development project in Stockholm city centre, confirm they have signed a major state-owned Systembolaget liquor store as the 1,000sq m anchor to its lower ground floor level.
Sture is the large-scale redevelopment of former Sturekvarteret, led by real estate developer TAM. The project spans an entire block of the city, including 14 buildings, with office, retail, restaurant and residential space in the heart of Stureplan, Stockholm.
Magnus Lundgren, commercial lead for the Sture project said: “Systembolaget is a valued national retailers and a welcome addition to Sture, supporting our ambition to deliver the finest food and beverage destination on the lower ground level.”
With this latest agreement, the lower ground floor of Sture is now fully let – helping to establish a new ‘Marmohallen’ arrival hall connection up from the city’s Metro system.
Systembolaget is a state-owned retail chain and the only vendor in Sweden licensed to sell alcoholic beverages containing more than 3.5 per cent alcohol by volume. Systembolaget is the main distribution portal for private companies selling alcohol on the Swedish market and represents 1,200 vendors ranging from small local breweries to large scale importers and multinational companies, selling products from a total of over 5,000 producers from all over the world.
Alongside Systembolaget, the floor will also house ICA Sturehallen – which at 3,100sq m – will be one of the largest grocery stores in central Stockholm. In addition, a curated food court spanning approximately 900sq m will bring together nine F&B units.
