With a global portfolio of over 2,500 stores across the world, the brand is continuing to expand its footprint in New York City.
As part of its 2026 expansion, the Japanese apparel retailer is opening a store on Fifth Avenue near Bryant Park on 6 March and a location in the Williamsburg section of Brooklyn on 20 March. Uniqlo will touch down in Manhattan’s Union Square neighbourhood on 3 April.
Each of the stores will spotlight the people, creativity and neighbourhoods that shape the city and feature exclusive, location‑specific designs created in collaboration with local artists, cultural partners and institutions. Designs will be available on T‑shirts and tote bags, alongside in‑store displays and experiences that bring each partnership to life, the company said.
The Union Square store will feature a special tribute to Andy Warhol, marking the location where the artist’s Factory studio thrived from 1974 to 1984. The collaboration reflects Warhol’s belief in art for everyone, translating his iconic Pop Art imagery into accessible, wearable essentials.
