Some retail news for for all LEGO lovers out there, a unique store has opened its doors in Hermiston, Oregon. The owner of JB Brick Company, Julie Lara, says that she hears all the time from customers that the community never thought a store like hers would be in the area.
Lara hopes she has a firm building block on a new business, a shop where people can buy new and used LEGOs. “Once you say hey we have a LEGO store, now all of these LEGO people pop up and we felt like we were the only ones.” Lara said.
Lara also said her passion for LEGOs started when she was just a little girl, “And I’d put it together once and be like okay now it’s time to build something new. I didn’t always like building from the instructions, I wanted to build something else.”
And that’s just what she did, from Corvallis to Hermiston, Julie and her husband Bobby redesigned the inside of an office space to buy, sell, and trade LEGOs. “This is a lot of fun, I’m not gonna lie it’s work, but it’s fun.” Bobby Lara said.
