It would appear that MIss Selfridge’s loss is Vans’ gain with the US Sports shoe brand set to step into the store that was occupied by Miss Selfridge, which was vacated by the Arcadia Group, as part of the group’s CVA-linked store closure programme.
Therefore this will mean that Vans will be in one of the rime positions at Oxford Circus, which is next door to Topshop and also an infamous name in the fashion and fitness industry: Nike. The terms and price of the lease in which Vans has signed is not known, however the new store is expected to open before the end of this year.
