The brands, which include the likes of WH Smith, Costa Coffee and Booths have signed up to be a part of the UK’s first electric forecourt.
Brands are continuing to look for ways to offer their services and products to consumers in new, innovative and exciting ways and the launch of the UK’s first electric forecourt, which will be located near Braintree in Essex and launching in November, will provide the perfect new ‘service station’ solution in which brands can do this.
Gridserve’s stations are designed with electric cars in mind and will offer guests a point to stop and ‘re-charge’ both themselves as well as their cars. Up to 30 vehicles at any time will be able to utilise the charging points at the station. Now concentrating on signing up brands, Gridserve intends to offer drivers a facility which will cater to all of their needs. The station will feature a waiting lounge, a dedicated child’s area and meeting room pods as well as a selection of shops.
