Set to launch in the US, the UK, Australia, Canada, Ireland and New Zealand will be available on a subscription basis.
Launched as a competitor to other subscription based service such as Peleton, Apple hopes that Fitness Plus will motivate all users from exercise beginners to fitness experts. Users of Fitness Plus will need to pay a subscription fee of $9.99 a month or $79.99 to access a number of studio style workouts including yoga, cycling, dance and rowing. These workouts will be available to access via your Apple devices once subscribed and can be shared with up to five other people.
The Apple Watch will power the Fitness Plus service, and will also be able to measure a number of fitness related quantitative data such as heart rate and total calories burned in each work out. As well as this a workout summary will be presented at the end of your workout containing further information on your performance.
Each workout will have Apple Music integrated into it to compliment the exercise programmes.
