Yas Bay Project Continues to Progress

The new $1.1bn mega tourist attraction being developed by Miral intends to open its hotel offering by the end of the year.

The new Yas Bay development on Yas Island in Abu Dhabi will encapsulate Yas Bay Waterfront – a vibrant leisure and entertainment zone, the new Etihad arena, two luxurious waterfront hotels, cafes and restaurants and leisure and entertainment retail outlets as well as a 3km waterfront boardwalk.

Yas Bay Waterfront is the heart of the development and will offer premium leisure and entertainment zones. The Etihad Area will be Abu Dhabi’s multi-purpose indoor entertainment venue, intended to host a number of world-class events.

Developer Miral has reassured that they remain committed to the project despite the current ongoing troubles across the globe and hopes to open the hotel components by the end of the year. In line with this aim, the Hilton Yas Bay Hotel is currently over 93 per cent complete. The stunningly situated five-store hotel will offer 546 luxurious rooms.

Mohamed Khalifa Al Mubarak, Chairman of Miral commented “We have made significant progress across Abu Dhabi’s new iconic development, Yas Bay. The latest milestones underscore our vision for Yas Island to position it as a top global destination for entertainment, leisure and business.”
