Located on Great Portland Street in London, the new technology-driven restaurant is perfect to cater for a Covid-19 world.
Itsu, infamous for its healthy-fast Asian food, has implemented a number of new features into this new restaurant that intends to reduce customer touchpoints throughout their experience at the restaurant. The store is completely digital and offers cashless kiosk screens where customers can place their order which even allows customers the option to customise their dishes as if ordering as normal.
The restaurant also utilises new maki and nigiri sushi robots from Japan which have been implemented at the new location to guarantee consistency, productivity and perfection for customers every time. The utilisation of robots to create the sushi removes any unnecessary handling, a quality that many diners are looking for when contemplating where to eat as Covid-19 continues to pose a threat.
Julian Metcalfe, Founder of Itsu commented: “I’ll put in whatever it takes to continue itsu’s success despite the obstacles posed by Covid. Little expense has been spared on this store of the future – it’s top-class stuff which would not look out of place in Kyoto.”
