The warehouse chain has recorded revenue of nearly $167bn in the year to August 30.
Costco now currently has 800 branches worldwide and their exclusive membership-only concept appears to be continually growing in a time where the retail sector is in a period of unrest. The company has recorded that sales have jumped by nearly 10 per cent of $14bn in the year to August compared to the same period last year.
The company has attributed this to a rise in sales during the height of the Covid-19 peak as well as a rise in membership fees. Online sales have risen by 50 per cent and a particular boom occurred in May at the height of worldwide lockdowns. The online sales made more than double the amount as the previous year.
