The sporting goods retailer will opens 11 new stores in October.
Following a strong second quarter, the country’s largest sporting goods retailer will open eleven new stores, including six namesake locations, two combination Dick’s and Golf Galaxy locations and three Dick’s Sporting Goods Warehouse Sale clearance outlets.
As well as the expansion of the brands existing store concepts, the retailer will open a limited number of Soccer Shops, which will offer ‘a new, elevated soccer experience’ for customers. Set to be located in select Dick’s Sporting Goods stores, the first of the new concept stores, which will be equipped with in-store soccer experts, will open on October 23 in Leawood, Kan, with further stores expected to open from November 2021.
Following the opening of these new stores, the retailer will have a huge portfolio consisting of 732 Dick’s Sporting Goods stores, 97 Golf Galaxy stores and 14 Warehouse Sale locations in 47 states.
