Although the brands general merchandise stores and shopping malls have struggled to attract shoppers, their supermarkets have seen strong sales as consumers continue to shop for their groceries and cook from home rather than eating out.

The company has recorded a 46.4bn yen operating profit for its second quarter, up from a loss 12.5bn in the first quarter. Although the company has made a profit in this past quarter, they remain cautious over the ongoing impacts of the Coronavirus pandemic.
