Occupying a space of 8500sq ft, the new store offers innovative concepts and also doubles as a gallery and event space.
Founded in 1986 by Dries Van Noten, the eponymous brand crafts extraordinary fabrics and prints. The new store will offer Dries Van Noten’s apparel and accessories collection, and will also offer performances, art exhibitions, film screenings and workshops. Van Noten commented: “The idea is for it to be a very open space for creativity. You don’t always have to come to the store to buy garments, you can also come to discover something about food, art, music and other beautiful things.”
As well as offering the current collections of Dries Van Noten, the store features two archive rooms which display historic pieces from the Dries Van Noten archive with both menswear and womenswear from as early as 1990 displayed.
This store is the latest addition to the brands portfolio, with other flagships located in Antwerp, Paris, Singapore, Hong Kong and Shanghai.
