The Shees Park project occupies an area of 11,362sq m and has taken eight months to complete.
The new tourist attraction has been inaugurated by His Highness Dr Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah. A commemorative plaque was unveiled at the inauguration that marks the official opening of Shees Park.
Shees Park boasts a unique location between tall mountains that provides visitors a unique experience. The park includes several leisure facilities and a 25m high artificial waterfall that flows into the lake and is surrounded by paths. A statement also revealed that the park houses several walkways and a play-area, an outdoor theatre that can accommodate up to 70 people, a barbecue area and as many as 32 shaded seats.
Guests to Shees Park can enjoy the attractions at the park and will soon be able to visit a number of other cultural and tourism development projects set to open in the area.
