The brands new grocery store format, Amazon Fresh is set to launch a number of new locations in Illinois.
Following the launch of the first Amazon Fresh grocery store in August 2020 the company is now planning to launch four new stores in Illinois communities; Naperville, Bloomingdale, Oak Lawn and Schaumburg.
The new Amazon Fresh grocery concept intends to offer shoppers a seamless experience by utilising a number of innovative concepts including the Amazon Dash Cart a payment system that allows customers to skip the queue. Amazon Alexa voice technology is also available to use as well as Alexa shopping lists.
The new Amazon Fresh grocery stores will result in 1500 jobs for the local communities.
