For the first time, Madewell which is known for their denim apparel, has launched an athleisure collection titled Make Weekends Longer.
A recent survey to customers found that ’81 per cent of customers had evolved their style since March at the start of the pandemic, incorporating more casual and comfortable clothing, such as sweatpants and leggings.” As a result of these findings, Madewell has launched a collection of athleisure that includes t-shirts, sweatpants, hoodies as well as a number of others.
The pieces in the Make Weekends Longer are created with recycled polyester which blends Lenzing Modal and REPREVE polyester to create a soft and flexible fabric that is designed to hold its shape over time.
“Athleisure has been a widely requested category, even before the pandemic. We designed the MWL collection to merge comfort and versatility with pieces that our customers can wear all day,” commented Joyce Lee, Madewell’s Head of Design.
