Lana Lusa Opens in Dubai

The new Portuguese restaurant will be located in Dubai’s Wasl 51 Mall.

Opening today, Thursday October 22, Lana Lusa will serve guests traditional home-style Portuguese meals. Founded and launched by Jessica Viveiro, the location draws on her family’s Portuguese roots. The feeling of family and comfort emulates through the café with all of the recipes inspired by meals Jessica’s grandmother used to cook and vintage family photos proudly displayed throughout.

The menu includes a number of dishes including Pateis de Bacalhau (salted codfish croquettes), Bacalhau com Natas (oven-baked cod gratin), Arroz de Tamboril (a fish and rice stew) and Cataplana de Peixe (Algarve fish stew). Desserts and sweet treats include the iconic Pasteis de Nata, Lemon Mousse and Cake Bolo de Bolacha.

The décor in the restaurant is also heavily inspired by Portugal with the use of colourful ceramic plates contrasted against earthy tones of ochre, mustard and sand. Guests can enjoy the bright and vibrant interior or alternatively enjoy the outdoor terrace with views of stunning greenery.

The restaurant is open from 8am – 11pm daily and offers breakfast, lunch and dinner offerings as well as a take away option.
