Thrift for Good comes from non-profit organisation Gulf for Good, which raises funds for children’s charity projects around the world through different challenges. The new thrift shop will open in the Golden Mile Galleria 2 Mall on Palm Jumeirah. Until now, Thrift for Good had only operated through its website and pop-up store locations. This permanent location will allow the charity to raise more money for good causes.
The shop will be stocked with high-street and designer second-hand clothing with prices starting as low as Dh10.
The charity is committed to zero waste, and comments: “We rehome everything (including repairing / upcycling items), we offset our carbon emissions through TreeNation, and we use sustainable packaging. We believe every step can and should give back as we raise as much as we can for children’s projects.”
