The American-based barbecue brand has revealed plans to open 50 restaurants in Australia.
Launched in 1941, Dickey’s Barbecue Pit offers guests a menu based around barbecued meats that are smoked in-house in a hickory wood burning pit. Dishes such as beef brisket, pulled pork, St.Louis style ribs, polish sausage, spicy cheddar sausage, smoked turkey and marinated chicken alongside a huge array of homestyle sides such as jalapeno beans and mac and cheese have placed Dickey’s Barbecue Pit as a firm favourite.
The brand currently operates over 500 locations across 44 states and has six overseas partnerships in Abu Dhabi, Brazil, Dubai, Egypt, Georgie and Pakistan. QSR Foods Pty Ltd will bring the restaurants to Australia, Richa Goyal commented: “We couldn’t be prouder to bring the world’s largest barbecue restaurant to Australian soil with the opening of our first locations in Brisbane and Queensland next year.”
Roland Dickey Jr., Chief Executive Officer of Dickey’s Capital Group, commented: “It’s an incredible feeling to make plans for our fifth continental conquest and continue my family’s legacy as the largest barbecue concept in the world.”
