Philippe Gas, new Chief Executive Officer of Qiddiya Investment Company, states that the new giga-project will be ‘like nothing you have ever seen before.’
Despite many large projects grinding to a halt as a result of the Coronavirus and its lasting impacts, the Qiddiya project remains on track. The first phase is scheduled to be delivered in 2023, and involves as many as 45 projects all which all remain without delay.
Upon completion, Qiddiya will house over 300 recreational and educational facilities featuring themes of Parks & Attractions, Sports & Wellness, Motion & Mobility, Nature & Environment and Arts & Culture. There will also be the Six Flags theme park – complete with 12 record-breaking attractions, a speed park and a water park as well as art venues, a creative village, hotels, retail and dining options.
Philippe Gas commented: “We don’t want to give ourselves any limits. Qiddiya will be like nothing you have ever seen before. There will always be something happening at Qiddiya, from large events, musical events, festivals; whether it’s modern and international or more traditional celebrating the Saudi culture.”
