The luxury Spanish shoe brand has opened their first store in the Mall of the Emirates, and intends to expand their brand across the MENA region.
The Majorcan-based family business produces 50,000 handcrafted luxury shoes per year and already has stores in Paris and New York. This new outlet in Dubai’s Mall of the Emirates is their first store in the Middle East and has been opened with the support of Emirati Entrepreneur, Abdullah Al Rashdi.
The Chief Executive Officer of Rozana Enterprise was interested in bringing the brand to Dubai after seeing the store in Paris last year. Following this, he met with Sandro Ramis, Great-Grandson of the Founder and Director of the brand, where the pair negotiated a deal to launch in the MENA region.
Al Rashdi, who had previously never shown any interest in investing in retail, commented: “It’s a gut feeling you get. There were a couple of investments I made based on my gut feeling and eventually I succeeded in them: Carmina is one of them.”
