The Leicester-based business, which was founded 30 years ago is the latest brand to become part of the JD portfolio.
JD Sports has acquired a number of brands in recent months, with the latest being US footwear retailer Shoe Palace in December 2020. The company confirmed that its wholly-owned holding company in the US, Genesis Holdings has acquired 100 per cent of the Shoe Palace corporation.
Founded by Pete Turner 30 years ago, family-run retailer Wellgosh shut down stores during the UK’s numerous lockdowns and encouraged their customers to continue shopping online.
The cost has not yet been disclosed.
