This will be the brands first store location in Taiwan, and is expected to be opened to the public on Tuesday 19th January 2021.
Located at No. 123 Xining Street in Taipei City’s Ximending shopping district, the new Don Don Donki store will span three storeys and offer a huge selection of products, with everything from groceries to household items to fashion and beauty products all on offer. There is also a selection of services and that are exclusive to the Taiwan market.
The brand was set to launch in the Taiwan market in early 2020, however these plans were halted due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic and its lasting impacts.
Don Don Donki was founded around thirty years ago by Takao Yasuda and now operates more than 600 stores globally, with 580 in Japan and several more in other countries. The first Don Don Donki store in Southeast Asia was opened in 2017.
