Jones the Grocer Outlines Ambitious Expansion Plans

The brand and food outlet has announced that it intends to open around 200 stores in the next five years.

The news comes following Dubai-based JTG Holdings becoming the sole owner of the food outlet after acquiring L Catterton Asia’s minority stake in the company. There are currently 23 trading Jones the Grocer locations with plans to open around 23 new scheduled sites across the region.

Originally founded in Australia in 1996, Jones the Grocer prides themselves on providing high quality and delicious artisan foods to their customers. Their concept consists of three elements – an unconventional grocery store, café and cheese room – with each element intending to offer their customers something different.

Following an exceptionally turbulent year in 2020, JTG Holdings believes that now is the right time to expand the brand’s presence across the region. Yunib Siddqui, JTG Holdings Ltd and Jones the Grocer’s CEO and Shareholder, commented: “We are incredibly proud of the regional success of Jones the Grocer, particularly the tremendous resilience our diversified revenue streams have shown last year. The time’s right to expand into new and existing international markets.”
