The British sporting brand intends to open 15 new stores in the Spanish market over the coming months.
JD Sports has already confirmed that they will open stores in the Parque Corredor, La Vaguada and Centro Oeste shopping centres and have planned for a new 1,000sq m flagship store in La Maquinista, Barcelona. As well as this, the brand intends to focus heavily on the Valencian market this year.
The brand currently has a total of 70 stores throughout Spain. Ten of these stores were opened in 2020 in a number of different cities under the exceptionally-difficult circumstances of the Coronavirus pandemic.
JD Sports has enjoyed a number of great success stories in recent months and appears to show no signs of slowing down despite the ongoing impacts of the Covid-19 pandemic. Most recently, the brand has acquired Shoe Palace and DTLT to assist in their global expansion and recognition.
