Boohoo to Acquire Burton, Dorothy Perkins & Wallis

The online fashion retailer has acquired the three brands from the administrators of Arcadia Group in a £25.2M transaction.

The transaction will see Boohoo acquire the brands’ e-commerce and digital assets but does not include the brands’ retail stores, concessions and franchises. Boohoo said in a statement that these acquisitions will help them grow to reach a wider demographic whilst strengthening its menswear proposition.

John Lyttle, Chief Executive of Boohoo, commented: “Acquiring these well-known brands in British fashion out of administration ensures their heritage is sustained, while our investment aims to transform them into brands that are fit for the current market environment. We have a successful track record of integrating British heritage fashion brands onto our proven multi-brand platform, and we are looking forward to bringing these brands on board.”

The deal is expected to complete on February 9 and comes after Boohoo’s recent acquisition of the Debenham’s brand and website.
