The Sharjah Economic Department has announced that malls, restaurants and entertainment centres will be subjected to capacity limits.
The announcement stated that cinemas and entertainment centres must limit capacity to 50 per cent and visitors will be required to strictly adhere to a two metre social distancing guideline. Shopping malls and centres must implement a capacity limit of 60 per cent and again, shoppers must adhere to the two metre social distancing rule and are also required to wear facemasks.
Restaurants are also impacted and tables must be at least two metres apart and are limited to four people per table, unless the guests are members of the same family. Alongside this, gyms and fitness centre venues must not exceed a capacity of 50 per cent and guests are required to wear a facemask at all times.
The safety measures and capacity limits follow similar preventative measures that were implemented in Abu Dhabi recently.
