The retailer, which is owned and operated by Majid Al Futtaim in the UAE will add an additional 11 ‘Tally Robots’ to select UAE stores.
The Tally Robot was the first robot to be employed in the Middle East retail sector that is fully equipped with cameras and sensors that can scan up to fifteen thousand products, three times a day to assist reduce the number of mistakes and errors.
Philippe Peguilhan, Country Manager of Carrefour UAE at Majid Al Futtaim, commented: “With product availability, placement and pricing data fully automated, we can offer a more efficient and convenient service at our Carrefour stores, while freeing up our colleagues to be more focused on helping our customers with their shopping experience.”
The robots will assist in stock audits by utilising a sophisticated system of Artificial Intelligence which will support the store’s team members by reducing their workload.
