The iconic British fashion brand is set to launch a new enormous flagship store in the city’s Northern Quarter.
The brand will be moving from its current home on Police Street to the new 2,820sq ft unit which occupies the corner of Oldham Street and Church Street, which has up until now been operating as a pop-up art gallery space. Apparently, the new store’s design will be inspired by the theme of ‘Past, Present and Future’.
Richard Gilmore, Managing Director at Fred Perry, commented: “We’re delighted to be moving to the Northern Quarter. The area has no shortage of strong associations to ground-breaking music and subcultural style – something we continue to champion. Our retail spaces aren’t just shops, and we’re looking forward to sharing what we do with the Manchester community as part of an exciting continuation of Fred Perry and Affleck’s mutual commitment to heritage and innovation.”
The new Fred Perry flagship is set to open this summer.
