The exciting brand new restaurant has been inspired by the Jazz Era in 1920’s Japan.
Mimi Kakushi is set to open at Four Seasons Resort Dubai at Jumeirah Beach on Sunday March 14. The concept comes from the team behind La Cantine du Faubourg, Ninive and Twiggy be La Cantine and will occupy a two-storey space.
Taking inspiration from the 1920s Japan jazz era, the new restaurant promises to take diners back to an ‘oriental age when jazz was swimming into the 1920s Osaka’. Mimi Kakushi itself translates to ‘covering the ears’ and is in reference to a fashionable bob-style hair cut which was popular in 1922. The restaurant intends to offer a mix of modern art, Western fashion and Japanese street life.
The menu highlights are expected to include traditional Japanese dishes, elevated with a playful twist, including sashimi, sushi, tempura, gyoza and kagoshima wagyu. Guests can also take advantage of the restaurants exciting range of desserts and drinks.
