The retailer has opened its first ever store in Chicago, creating over 250 jobs in the community.

Located at North State Street, the new Primark store opened to the public yesterday, Thursday 11 March. The newly-opened 36,000sq ft store spans three storeys and houses a collection of womenswear, menswear and kidswear fashion along with footwear, accessories, lingerie, homeware and beauty.

This is the brand’s 12th store in the US, and given the current climate, the store has opened with Coronavirus safety protocols in place. Customers can expect to see clear signage and may have to wait to enter the store, as there is currently a limit on the number of customers allowed in at any one time.

Andy Stewart, President of Primark US, commented: “From our new spring/summer must-haves, exciting collaborations or sustainable ranges, all at great value prices, we can’t wait for Chicago to discover Primark for themselves. Safety will be the biggest priority at opening, and Primark has invested heavily in making sure the store is safe for both customers and employees.”
