The restaurant chain, owned by Restaurant Brands Iberia has opened its first restaurant of 2021 in Cartagena.
The new 300sq m establishment will employ around 25 people and will also boast a large outdoor terrace of 45sq m and an open kitchen format. A free standing model will reduce environmental impact thanks to elements that favour energy efficiency. The restaurant will offer take away service and home delivery through its own delivery platform and different aggregators, including Uber Eats, Glovo, Deliveroo and Just Eat.
Popeyes is currently underway with their expansion plans for the Spanish market, which will see the brand open 25 new locations this year. A spokesperson commented: “We are very proud to be able to talk about growth in such difficult times for all sectors, and especially for the restaurant sector. Despite the pandemic, we continue working on the expansion plan and we continue to grow.”
