Shake Shack Partners with Uber Eats

The pair will launch a new delivery service that will be offered within the Shake Shack app.

The move looks to expand the brands Shack Track service which already allows customers to pre-order food to be picked up at walk-up windows, by the curb side or on in-store shelves. Now, customers who order via the Shake Shack app can track their orders in real time and will pay a 99 cent flat delivery free or receive free delivery for orders over $35.

This investment in their digital offering comes following a huge surge in digital sales over the past year, which accounted for nearly 60 per cent of the brands total sales in the fourth quarter. Shake Shack will concentrate on building its technology development team in collaboration with Uber Eats’ fulfilment.

Chief Executive Officer, Randy Garutti, commented: “A year ago, we were a 20 per cent digital company, and 80 per cent in person, and overnight we switched to 80 per cent digital, 20 per cent in person. What we then built back to was really trying to ramp up and accelerate the digital toolbox… We want to bring people into our ecosystem.”
