Aldar Reveals Plans to Redevelop Yas Mall

The Investment Company has announced a AED500M redevelopment plan for Yas Mall to reinforce its position as the centrepiece of Yas Island, Abu Dhabi’s premier residential and leisure destination.

According to Aldar Investment, the redevelopment will reimagine the mall’s spaces and introduce new innovative retail concept, thus enhancing the customer journey. The plans will also see 40 per cent of Yas Mall’s gross leasable area repurposed to high impact experiential retail, F&B and co-working office spaces.

The redevelopment will also expand the mall’s F&B offering by 40 per cent, introducing a new food hall and outdoor terraces; meanwhile the plans will also increase the health, beauty and jewellery categories and add a home furnishings district.

Jassem Busaibe, Chief Executive Officer, Aldar Investment, commented: “Our transformational plan or the mall is in anticipation of evolving customer needs and in line with developing retail trends globally. The project will deliver a new and diversified offering to enrich the customer experience.

“We are also future-proofing a key asset that is at the heart of Yas Island and its many world-class attractions, drawing in more local and international visitors. It will allow us to serve new communities growing around Yas Mall.”
