Three years after Dunkin’ first unveiled the concept, the company has now opened its 1,000th Next Gen restaurant in Woodstock.
Following this opening, a number of new Dunkin’ sites are also set to open in Mira Mesa, Trumbull, Bridgman and Las Vegas. A number of Next Gen remodels are also in the pipelines. A spokesperson for the brand commented: “Given the size of our existing asset base, we will be in the conversion process over a number of years. We are transforming our restaurants at a healthy pace, both with new store growth and remodels.”
The Next Gen format boasts an open, modern design with a front-facing bakery allowing customers to take a closer look at Dunkin’s signature baked goods before purchasing. In line with the busy on-the-go approach for many customers, the format also features a mobile order pick-up area for customers who order via the App. Customers can also track the status of their order via an in-store digital order status board. Select locations feature a dedicated drive-thru lane for mobile order pick-ups.
Alongside this, Next Gen restaurants are designed to meet Dunkin’ ‘Green Achievement’ specifications, these stores are complete with LED lighting, high-efficiency mechanical equipment, low-flow faucets and more.
