Construction is well under-way for the latest retail and hospitality project by Diyar Al Muharraq, one of the largest real estate development companies in Bahrain.
Over 80 per cent of the work for Souq Al Baraha has been completed and the project is expected to open to the public this year. The project has already attracted both local and international businesses and has successfully secured a selection of tenants for occupancy to date including restaurants, cafes and antiques vendors.
Alongside this, designated spaces and sections have already been earmarked for gold and jewellery, traditional spices and sweets, along with fresh produce including fruit, fish, meat and poultry.
Speaking on the progress, Ahmed Alammadi, Chief Executive officer Engineer, said: “We are pleased to announce the recent developments in the Souq Al Baraha project, where all works are proceeding as per schedule. Souq Al Baraha will further bolster our sense of community at Diyar Al Muharraq, and pays homage to the traditions and culture of hospitality that the Kingdom of Bahrain was built upon.”
