Johnnie-O Opens First Physical Store

The direct-to-consumer California menswear brand has opened its first-ever store at WestBend, a mixed-use development in Fort Worth, Texas.

Originally an online brand and wholesaler, Johnnie-O’s apparel combines East Coast prep and West Coast. The brand offers a range of clothing, accessories and footwear for men. Despite the shifting from physical to digital that many have witnessed, particularly as a result of the Coronavirus, the brand is betting on bricks-and-mortar retailing.

The new store is located within WestBend, which occupies 278,000sq ft and is a part of Trademark Property Company’s portfolio. The mixed-use development features a walkable urban district with access to retail, restaurant office space.

“We are excited to have our first stand-along store at WestBend, as it is a great outdoor shopping centre with a good mix of retailers, and we see it as a perfect fit for the Johnnie-O brand. This is a great time to expand our brand and be able to bring our unique take on men’s lifestyle fashion directly to consumers in a store where everyone has Johnnie-O in their DNA,” commented Chris Knott, Chief Merchandising Officer.
