The Taiwanese beauty company is expanding its operations in Vietnam, announcing plans to open 20 more stores in the country by 2024.
Founded in 1989 by Taiwanese chemist, Wu-Kang Chen, the skincare and beauty brand now boasts an impressive network of over 4,800 franchisees in China, Taiwan and Southeast Asia. Moving forward, the brand intends to continue exploring the Southeast Asian region further, entering new countries such as Indonesia and Malaysia as well as expanding in Vietnam.
The Vietnamese market, which the brand first entered in 2018, is set to triple in size, opening around 20 locations alongside its existing portfolio of around 10 outlets. The brand’s largest market is China, where it operates 4,500 franchises.
Laurence Macout, CEO Office Manager, commented: “Our Chairwoman, Joanna Chen has identified Vietnam as an emerging market with interesting growth potential for Chlitina. Women in Vietnam share a lot culturally speaking with women in China, especially in terms of standards of beauty.”
