The service enables JD customers to trade-in up to five old electronics products for one new Apple product.
The service is an upgrade of the old trade-in service, which only allows customer to trade-in one old product toward the cost of a new product. In the future, the new trade-in service will be expanded to other mobile phone brands on JD. Customers can choose to replace the old phone in Apple stores or enjoy the trade-in service at their doorsteps.
“We are happy to debut the new one-stop trade-in service for Apple’s new products and provide an upgraded service for customers,” said Daniel Tan, President of JD Mobile Devices. “Today [yesterday] is International Earth Day, and we hope that JD’s trade-in services encourage customers to join us in recycling old electronics products and making their own efforts on environmental sustainability.”
